In EB-5 News, Legislative Developments by EB-5 Blog Staff

EB-5 Blog has officially launched!

It is with great pride that our first EB-5 related post covers H.R. 4659, a Bill introduced in Congress on May 13, 2014: “To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make the EB-5 regional center program permanent, and for other purposes.” The Bill, sponsored by Representative Aaron Schock [R-IL-18] and cosponsored by Representative Tulsi Gabbard [D-HI-2], has been referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.

If successfully passed, the Bill proposes: (1) the removal of per country numerical caps on employment visas; (2) the amendment of the Immigration and Nationality Act to make the regional center program permanent; as well as (3) priority consideration for regional center applicants.

EB-5 Blog will continue to monitor any and all EB-5 legislative developments and will update our legislative posts as necessary.
